Michael Vick is in a world of hurt right now as he is being faced with charges for dog fighting. As most would think, after he got accused of these chargers, Vick would be on the straight and narrow to try to impress the judge as much as possible but obviously not in his eyes. Vick failed a drug test that he had to take in early September. The test proved positive that Vick had been smoking marijuana which could possibly change the outcome of his case. The punishment that officials enforced on him were similar to the co-defendant
Quanis Phillips which is he has to be in his Virginia home between 10 PM and 6 AM. Basically, the authorities just slapped Vick on the wrist and said, whelp no more partying for you since we caught you smoking weed. I think the punishment should have been more severe, although he is already in enough trouble.
The indictments that Vick has been charged with is punishable with a total of 10 years in prison. I mean really, what is this guy thinking. First, he tries to paint the area where the dog fighting was taking place at black to try to hide it. Then, he tries to tell the authorities that the property isn't his, and he had nothing to do with it. And now he got caught for smoking marijuana after he knew he would get drug tested. He must really want to go to jail!
Also, the Falcon's are trying to take away $16 million from Vick because that was bonus money that he earned. I don't feel that is right because that is money that Vick already had in the bank, he already proved that he should have the right to that money, and his off the field shenanigans should not be punishable by the Falcon's for something that is rightfully his.
