I was reading up on other blogs today, and I found a funny article about the weekend's Texas Tech versus Texas A&M football game. Members of the fraternity Theta Chi on the Texas Tech campus decided to design and make shirts that on the front said "Vick Em'" and on the back had a picture of a dog being hung by a football player with the number seven on his jersey. The dog was ment to be Texas A&M's mascot, which is a collie named Reveille. Some controversy sparked about these actions because the creators of this t-shirt are the "future" of the country.
My personal opinion about the shirt making ordeal is that students should have freedom of speech to say or make what they want. If I went to Texas Tech, I would personally buy one of the shirts not only because the game is one of the biggest of the season for the two teams, but also because the shirt is just downright funny. It took a lot of creative thought to even think of something like this, but also, it took heart and drive to get the shirts made. If someone doesn't like what they see out of college students, then quit looking. What can you expect from a college student?
Also, in a way, I think Michael Vick should be embarrassed about the shirts, because once again, he is in the media for dog fighting. I think he will always be remember for the dog fighting instead of his ability on the field which is sad as I have already said in previous blogs. Props to those students from Texas Tech for the creative idea, and the heart to get the shirts produced.

I think the shirts are funny as well. Vick shouldn't be able to say anything about the shirt. In matter a fact, he should appreciate it, because it's almost like an advertisement for him.
