Gotta love the Big Ten

Ok so we've got a BIG ten game on our hands tonight. The undefeated Ohio State buckeyes go to Happy Valley to play the Nittany Lions, of Penn State. This game is going to be big in two ways.

One way it is going to big is that we will see if anyone else can contend for the Big Ten title. At the beginning of the year it looked like the Big Ten would be a conference not to mess with. They had many teams ranked top ten such as, Wisconsin at number 7, Michigan at number 5 and just out of the top ten, Ohio state, which was ranked Number 11. So there should have been serious competition for the Big ten title. We are now at week nine and it looks like Michigan and Penn State can only hope that the Ohio State Buckeyes forget how to win and either one of them wins out the rest of their season, if they want a Chance at the Big Ten title. This probably won't happen due to the fact that Penn State plays Purdue, so they won't win out. Michigan could win out but still has to play Ohio State and Wisconsin. So based on this we should probably just give Ohio State the Big ten title.

The Second way that it is a big game would be that Ohio State is ranked Number one overall in the coach’s poll. They are one of the only undefeated teams that plays in a hard enough conference to actually make run for the BCS title. Now if they lose this could be a different story. They would then drop to probably a 5 or 6 ranking and might not get a chance at the BCS title.

So either way the Ohio State, Buckeyes need to keep on doing what they are doing, winning. If they do so they will find themselves once again the Big Ten champions and also find themselves searching for a BCS title, which they let slip though their hands last year.
