Michigan VS Illinois

Today the Michigan Wolverines had a game against Illinois Illini. Michigan ranked top 25 in the nation came into this one thinking they were going to get an easy win. I am starting to like Illinois because they always come into a game fighting no matter what the chances they have to win. Just two weeks ago, they went into the Wisconsin game as an underdog, as the Badgers are ranked 5th in the nation. Illinois did not back down from the Badgers, and went on to defeat them 31-26.
Today was just about the same kind of game. Illinois came into the game as an underdog but gave one hell of a fight. After going into the third quarter all tied up, Illinois just ran out of gas letting Michigan score 10 points in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
A couple players I am especially starting to like from Illinois is quarterback Juice Williams, and running back Rashard Mendenhall. Although Mendenhall's longest rush was for only 13 yards, he is a guy you can count on a solid game from every game. He ran the ball 18 times for 85 yards. The stats do not really tell what you need to know about Rashard. He is a kind of player that can change the pace of a game at the snap of a finger. Something that makes his running game so deadly is the offensive line. They are always creating a pathway for him to run through and make it up field. Also Mendenhall cuts extremely well. He is very good at changing directs very quickly and picking up speed to gain those few extra yards. The quarterback Juice Williams runs the option great with Mendenhall. These two give teams troubles, but only if Illinois could work on their defense.
The game today was good although Illinois just ran out of gas. They only have one other tough game this year, which would be against number one ranked Ohio State. If they play well, I think they could give Ohio State a run for their money, although Ohio State is a machine on both sides of the ball.
