Great Thursday Night Showdown
I didn't think Thursday night games were worth watching but this one really was a showdown with Kentucky versus South Carolina. With the recent upsets last weekend and these two teams making upsets of their own and really coming out of nothing this season. Kentucky was ranked 8th for this game and South Carolina was ranked 11th. Kentucky was 5-0 and has a really good QB in Andre Woodson. While South Carolina has a great pass defense and just really good defense overall.
The first half was a real battle with key turnover with back and forth scoring. Kentucky's Woodson definitely wasn't looking his best in this game. With a early fumble and a interception in the end zone. South Carolina showed a great defense and good offense out scoring Kentucky 17-10 at the end of the first half.
The second half was mostly all down hill for Kentucky and especially Woodson. He had another early fumble because of a backward lateral that was supposed to be a pass. It was picked up by South Carolina's Norwood and ran back for a TD (He also recover a fumble in the first half).
I was pulling for Kentucky with for win, but they didn't show up like I expected. South Carolina is looking good right now with a very solid team this year. With that pass defense and working offense their next biggest challenge should be Florida at the end of the season. South Carolina is capable of beating Florida, especially with all these upsets i wouldn't be surprised now a days if Stanford beat USC this weekend (YES I WOULD).
