WOW, OJ back at it again

A NFL legend, O.J. Simpson is in trouble again with the law after his trials in 1994 for killing Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman. He is now in trouble in Florida after he was accused for 11 felony counts including kidnapping and breaking and entering. He posted a $125,000 bond although he still faces court to see if he is guilty or not. The argument whether or not he should be in the hall-of-fame is what people are disputing about. My personal feelings about that is, yes, he should definitely be in the hall-of-fame whether or not he is guilty for the actions he is claimed to have done. He was the first running back to ever rush for more than 2,000 yards with the bills. He was an incredible running back while in the NFL and that is what got him into the hall-of-fame in Canton, Ohio. To decide whether or not an athlete should be in the NFL is not what he does off the field, but rather, what he does while in uniform. If an NFL athlete can perform day in and day out better than most people that have played the game then that athlete should be inducted into the hall-of-fame. If that same person has already been inducted, then his personal performance while playing should be what people think about while visiting his memorabilia, and not how that person broke the law. Overall OJ was one of the best backs in the league ever, and people should not try to take away his achievement of being in the hall-of-fame just because of some weak accusations.

Wow, I can't believe this. O.J. literally gets away with murder, yet he still decides to commit a robbery while armed. How dumb can you be to test your luck twice. As to the question at hand, I don't know whether personal life should be factored into being inducted into the hall of fame, or kept in the hall of fame. Is being a good person part of being in the hall of fame? I think this is the question we have to ask ourselves when this topic comes up. All that aside, I wasn't alive to witness his brilliance on the field but the numbers speak for themselves. The guy was a great football player. So this question is a definite toss up.

I agree with you when you say that if you make it into the NFL Hall of Fame you should stay there, but think about if they did take you out of the Hall of Fame if you did mess up off the field. It would be a real eye opener to any Hall of Fame player wanting to cause some mischief. It would definitely make them think twice before doing something that would dishonor the NFL. Just a thought.
