
The dominate team of last year found a new spot to sit...for this week. Don't worry, I'm not naive enough to think that this is the way it's going to end up. But for this week the Chicago Bears are at the bottom of the totem pull in the NFC North. Even the lowly Detroit Lions have found a way in week one to strut their offensive muscle.
The Bears are in no trouble at all, it's week one, after all...or are they. Not only did they lose their season opener, but they also lost the leader of their defense, Mike Brown, to a season ending ACL injury. OK, so one player does not make a team, they can survive without him, right. Well, we also have to look at the poor play of the offense. No touchdowns, no dependable running back, and a VERY inconsistent quarterback in Rex Grossman. It's too early to tell, but for now, if I were a Bears fan, which I definitely am not, I might be a little worried. Not to take anything away from a very good opponent in the Chargers, who yahoo sports says is the best team in football.

I totally agree with you on the NFC north getting a bit tougher. Like you said the Vikings are looking tough and the lions quaterback making the bold statement of ten wins. Watch out Bears.
