Now recently i been hearing from the big guys at ESPN that the Texas Longhorns does not belong in the top 10 college football rankings. As of now Texas is 3-0 Colt McCoy is throwing for about 240 yards a game and Jamaal Charles is rushing for about 130 yards a game. And if McCoy is throwing like he is his recievers like Nate Jones must be catching good too. Their defense is doing ok but they are a work in progress (they're still owning their own). The big guys at ESPN feel teams behind them in ranking must be much better and that close game against UCF made them look bad. To me a win is a win and yes sometimes you can have bad performance even in winning, but that doesnt mean at team should go down in ranking just because that didn't destroy a unranked team. Just today 3rd ranked Florida only beat Ole Miss. by six points. Florida should have destroyed them remember Ole Miss is unranked. ESPN better get on Florida about that preformance.
I believe Texas can go far this year and get to that championship bowl game or at least the next biggest one. The only team in their way is Oklahoma and if they can beat them the rest should be no problem. What Texas needs to do is out score them on the offense. That means scoring everytime they have the ball either TD or Field Goal. Then put a good blitz package on the Oklahoma's QB Sam Bradford. Hopefully causing a early interception and not letting Oklahoma get their great offense rolling, and as long as Texas does give up a premature turnovers on the offense they should score on most of their drives.
