LT slowed down but never stopped
LaDainian Tomlinson by far had his worst performance last week against the Chicago Bears carrying the ball 17 times and only rushing for 25 yards. It seems that the Bears could stop LT which if you just read the stats you would think that is true. The bears held Philip Rivers to 22-31 passing for 190 yards. Although Rivers passed decently, he could not get any points on the board. The Bears were up on the Chargers 3-0 with about a minute left in the third quarter and that is when LT decided enough was enough. LT is known for his rushing ability although he can pass the ball like Peyton. He got the hand off and ran to the right, defense thinking he was going to run for 6. Then he pulled the E-brake and found Antonio Gates 17 yards downfield for a touchdown. Score was then 7-3 going into the fourth. LT then decided he was going to seal the deal with another TD. His dashing carry 7 yards down field to put the Chargers up 14-3 on the Bears capped the game off. LT's performance wasn't his best although he still led the Chargers to an important win over one of the powerhouses of the NFL. Props to LT for not giving up and staring adversity in the eyes and laughing at it. The mans work ethic is second to none which is very easy to tell in the games because hard works always pays off. The Chargers face the New England Patriots this week who are supposed to be the best team in the NFL having much talent like the Colts. Patriots line up includes quarterback Tom Brady, Wide Receiver Randy Moss, and running back Laurence Maroney. The combo will be tough for the Chargers, but I am confident that the Chargers are up for the challenge.
