GAME OF THE CENTURY...but not really

Duke at Notre Dame looks to set up two of the best teams...with a one and nine record. Funny thing is usual Juggernaut ND is playing this grotesque game on national TV as they always do, on commercial crazy NBC. Notre Dame has been nothing short of a disappointment this season. They lost the winning streak to Navy on their way to losing to both academies they play this year. They have zero offense which results in the defense looking bad having to not only play an enormous amount of plays but also try to make up for the offense's mistakes.

Enough of the negatives, I am going to try to find some positives out of this bunch. Okay, here goes...

They look to have some good, young talent in Golden Tate, who should be on every offensive and special team play as he has made all the offensive highlights this year. Duval Kamara has also looked pretty talented in the games of late. I also believe that if the offense gave the defense any help whatsoever, the D could be a pretty solid unit. Darrin Walls has a ton of talent that is just waiting to be complemented by a whole defense along with fellow CB Raeshon McNeil. It looks as if Sophomore Eric Maust is going to be a pretty solid substitution for preseason All-American punter Geoff Price. Two people I will be sad to see go are D-Lineman Trevor Laws and LB Maurice Crum Jr. They have made pretty much all the big plays this season and have tried their hardest to keep this thing together. James Aldridge is looking to be the star back in what now seems to be an offense with no air attack. Oops, another negative, ahh screw it. Jimmy Clausen has proved to be inconsistent and unable to get to speed with the college game. I just hope QB recruit Dane Crist is ready to go right away. I also disagree with Weis showing disrespect to a junior QB who has paid his dues in Evan Sharpley, maybe there is some sort of back-story I do not know. From what I see, however, Evan is the better QB. It's just that Weis has been Clausen's personal butt buddy ever since his Hollywood entrance to downtown South Bend a couple of Aprils ago. Just my opinion, like I said there could and probably is something I do not know.

So that's that, some musings for the common Notre Dame fan, and some entertainment for the common Notre Dame hater.
