Along with the Colts, the Vikings may be in trouble too. Adrian Peterson, who is the number one running back in the league and the starting running back from the Vikings, is now out for the season because of an injury to his LCL. The LCL is one of the four ligaments on the knee that helps keep the knee together. People are not to familiar with injuries to the LCL, but people relate more the the term ACL or MCL injuries which are two of the other ligaments located in the same area. Adrian Peterson has ran for over a thousand yards already this year. The Vikings are in serious trouble because their offense struggles to get over 200 yards without Peterson. I think it will be fun to see how their future goes.
Washington Redskins wide receiver Brandon Lloyd is also out all season due to a broken collarbone. Lloyd is not as great of a player as Peterson, but the Redskins signed him to a multi year multi-million dollar contract. He has got into some trouble this season already this season after he missed a team meeting and was not allowed to travel to New York to play the jets. He only has two receptions this season which is pretty after being signed to a multi-million dollar contract. The Redskins are struggling this season because they had to sign someone to replace Lloyd. They signed Jimmy Farris, who is a player that was cut at the end of 2006 preseason. The Redskins still do have some serious talent in Antwaan Randle El, Keenen McCardell, and Reche Caldwell.
Overall I think the NFL has had more injuries this season compared to most. Almost the entire Colts team is on the injured reserve, and you can see star players popping up in the news about how they are hurt and are on the injured list. Kinda weird!
